Mercedes-Benz has announced it will launch 15 products in India this year, including its bonkers AMG GT Black Series, A-Class Limousine and new GLA starting Q2 (second quarter).
The 15 products planned for market launch this year comprises a mix of models across body shapes, some without any predecessor in the Indian market, says the German brand.
Revealing that its motto for 2021 is ‘Reimagining Excellence’, the luxury carmaker aims to make the brand more desirable and draw customers even closer.
It plans to accomplish this by launching new and desirable products, offering best-in-class retail experience and creating a personalised ‘physidigital’ experience.
Sustainibility is something the brand will also focus on while placing great emphasis on increased digitisation.
The firm continues to lead the luxury car segment sales in the country and retailed 7893 units in a pandemic-hit year. In Q2 2020, Mercedes sold 563 units, while in Q3 the number rose to 2058 units and in Q4, sales hit 2886 units.
Key volume drivers for 2020 were the C-Class and E-Class LWB sedans and the GLC, GLE and GLS SUVs, with the E-Class remaining the single highest selling model for the brand last year.
The GLC, on the other hand, was the most popular SUV in the firm’s portfolio. Also, Mercedes-Benz India stated that 14 percent of its sales penetration in 2020 was through online bookings.
