Mercedes-Benz Sells 175 Units Of New M-Class

The growth trajectory of Mercedes-Benz is definitely something to cheer about for the company. The company has witnessed a 10 per cent growth in June, 2012. The credit goes to the new third generation M-Class, known for its power and luxury. Its sports the Mercedes-Benz new design language and obviously reiterates the philosophy of ‘Best or Nothing’. The third generation M-class was launched in the month of May this year. The Company sold 175 units of M-Class in the first month itself. The company offers high value cars to luxury segment, at the same time offers the best after sales and vehicle ownership experience.

“We are proud that the first 100 units of New M Class (Edition 1) costing over Rs 68 lakhs were sold within few days of the launch! We have sold 175 units of M-Class in the first month proving that our strategy to offer products loaded with features is well accepted by our customers and they are willing to pay a price for the same,” Mr. Debashis Mitra, Director (Sales and Marketing), Mercedes-Benz India, said.

The Mercedes M-Class is powered by a 3.0-litre diesel engine which produces 258 PS of peak power output at 3600 RPM and 620 Nm of peak torque output between 1600-2400 RPM. The engine is mated to a new 7-speed 7G-Tronic gearbox and the ML350 CDI reaches from 0-100 km/h in just 7.4 seconds, while top speed is 224 km/h. The M-Class SUV features ECO start stop function, Attention Assist, Active Parking Assist, Airmatic Air Suspension, 9 airbags, intelligent light system, speed limit assist, blind spot assist, lane keep assist, night view assist plus with person recognition, distronic plus adaptive cruise control, autonomous braking, ABS, ESP, electronic TCS, designo leather interiors, easy pack tail gate with mini spare wheel and has received EURO NCAP 5 star rating.
