Mercedes AMG GT S & Fiat 595 Abarth Are 2-Door Speedsters

The Mercedes AMG GT S was introduced in 2014 while it replaced the old SLS AMG and it entered the Indian market in November last year. The Fiat Abarth 595 was also launched in 2015.

The most awaited event of the industry, the 2016 Auto Expo surely did justice to all the expectations as a number of supercars and bikes were on display with many of them being launched. The Mercedes AMG GT S and Fiat 595 Abarth are two-door speedsters which went on sale in our market just last year.

Mercedes AMG GT S

The Mercedes AMG GT S replaced the SLS in 2014 and the new supercar was designed to be more civilised compared to the wild predecessor while the new one is also developed by the automaker’s performance division AMG. The GT S is a more powerful variant of the GT and it is powered by a bespoke 4.0-litre V8, bi-turbo engine that produces 510 HP at 6000 RPM which helps the beast do 0-100 km/hr in 3.8 seconds before reaching a top speed of 330 km/hr.

Fiat 595 Abarth

The Fiat 595 Abarth after a lot of wait was launched in August last year. The performance hatch is powered by a 1.4-litre, four-cylinder, T-Jet engine producing 160 HP at 5500 RPM and 230 Nm of torque while mated to a sequential automatic transmission with paddle shifters and the top-speed is claimed to be 209 km/hr while it can reach 100 km/hr from a standstill in 7.4 seconds.
