Mercedes AMG E63 S 4Matic+ launched in India, priced at Rs. 1.5 crores.
Mercedes AMG has launched the E63 S 4Matic+ in India at a sticker price of Rs. 1.5 crores (ex-showroom, India). This is the top of the line variant and is also the most powerful E-Class to be sold in India. The AMG E63 S 4Matic+ rivals the BMW M5.
On the exterior front, there are subtle changes to the E63 when compared to the regular E-Class. The performance sedan gets a single slat grille and a revised front bumper with larger air intakes. LED headlights with the signature double slash LED DRLs sees minor tweaks. At the sides, there are matte black finished 20-inch alloy wheels and the rear profile gets a boot lid spoiler and quad exhausts pipes.
While the dashboard layout of the E63 S 4Matic+ is more or less similar to the regular sedan, the former gets a flat bottom steering wheel with AMG branding and carbon fibre inserts on the dashboard as well as the centre console. However, the talking point of the E63 S 4Matic+ has to be its heart. It draws power from a 4.0-litre turbocharged V8 engine that produces 603 HP of power and 850 Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to a 9-speed AMG Speedshift dual-clutch automatic transmission.
The Mercedes AMG E63 S 4Matic+ does 0-100 km/hr in just 3.4 seconds (which is quicker than the AMG GT-R supercar) and the top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/hr but if you opt for the AMG Driver’s package, the car can go all the way up to 300 km/hr! The vehicle also gets a ‘Drift’ mode as standard and guess what that does to the E63, it turns the sedan into a ‘purely rear-wheel drive’ car which means fun is guaranteed.
