The company exhibited the Levante at a mall in New Delhi

Maserati Levante, the SUV from an Italian firm, is all set to come down to India and that too very soon. As per the reports obtained from the company, the Maserati Levante is going to hit Indian showrooms within the next two months, before 2018. From 5th to 7th October, the stunning SUV was placed on display at the DLF Emporio mall in New Delhi for Indian viewers to drool over.

The design of the Maserati Levante boasts of a compact and handsome demeanour. The front end of the car straps a rectangular grille which holds chrome finished slats proudly flaunting the company’ badge. On either side, slim and classy headlamps make the overall front end of the car look sleek. The roofline of the Levante flows downwards ending into those nice minuscule tail-lamps consisting of LED lights. At the bottom, the pair of twin round exhausts make way for the emissions and complete the look of the car.

The interiors of the Maserati Levante are elegant as the black portions of the seat and dashboard are accentuated by large patches of red shade which, up to some extent, make it look sporty. All this has been crafted with leather. The three-spoke steering wheel sits right in front of the twin-pod instrument cluster. The large touchscreen infotainment display, puny round clock and the rest of the dials and buttons keep the interior busy in a beautiful way.

Talking about the powerplant, the Maserati Levante coming to India hides a 3.0-litre, V6 diesel engine under its hood which works with an 8-speed automatic transmission. Power figures from this unit stand at 271 BHP at 4000 RPM and 600 Nm of torque at 2600 RPM. Highest, the Italian SUV can go up to is 230 km/hr. In India, the vehicle will go against the likes of the Mercedes-Benz GLS and Audi Q7.
