The automaker has launched the Wagon R Krest limited edition for the festive season that adds new features to the exteriors and interiors of the hatchabck at a discounted price of Rs. 22,500/-. A popular product for Maruti, the limited edition aims to make the model more feature rich, while the exterior upgrades will allow for some differentiation from the regular Wagon R.
Starting with the exteriors, the Maruti Wagon R Krest limited edition adds a new grille, limited edition body graphics, new wheel covers and mud flaps. On the inside, the equipment list gets lengthier with the inclusion of a steering wheel cover, double-DIN audio system with Bluetooth speakers, reverse parking sensors with digital display, keyless central locking, new seat covers and carpet floor mats. Maruti states that all the new features are available at Rs. 32,500/-, but the limited edition model comes packed with all of the above along with a Rs. 10,000/- discount.
There are no mechanical chanes under the hood of the limited edition Wagon R and the hatchback continues to draw power from the same 1.0-litre K-Series petrol motor producing 68 PS of power and 90 Nm of torque, paired to a 5-speed manual transmission. The Wagon R is available in petrol, CNG and LPG fuel options and returns a claimed fuel efficiency of 20.5 km/l on petrol, 26.6 km/kg on CNG and 14.6 km/l on LPG versions. Prices for the Wagon R start at Rs. 3.48 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi) with the vehicle competing against the Hyundai i10 in the domestic market.
