Maruti has released an update for maps on its SmartPlay infotainment system. The system comes in the top-end variants of a few cars from its lineup.
Maruti Suzuki upped its game when it started launching the newer range of cars. With the company trying to improvise its image in the premium car space, providing class leading features became imperative. One such feature is the SmartPlay infotainment system which finds its way into the Baleno, S-Cross and Vitara Brezza.
The SmartPlay infotainment system is one of the most advanced music system present in the cars with prices upto Rs. 15 lakhs. It supports Apple CarPlay which lets the user mirror some of the apps from their iPhone to the infotainment screen. It also comes with navigation which makes commuting inside the city very easy for the ones who aren’t too familiar with the routes.
To improvise the user experience further, Maruti has released an update for the maps on the SmartPlay system. To download the same, a user has to follow a series of actions listed HERE. The website asks the user to punch in a few details and if their vehicle’s VIN falls in the update list, they have an option of downloading the updated maps.
The updated maps contain more details of the streets which will help the users find their destination easily. An update in less than a year from launch of the system is a good move from Maruti Suzuki. The recently launched Vitara Brezza also has the same system and comes with the updated maps from the factory itself.
