Maruti to showcase their upcoming SUVs at the 2023 Auto Expo
Maruti Suzuki’s upcoming SUVs will be revealed at the 2023 Auto Expo next month. India’s largest carmaker has announced that they will showcase two all-new SUVs for the Indian market. There will be a global premiere of a new electric SUV concept as well.
So out of these two SUVs that the carmaker has promised to reveal, the first one is expected to be the Jimny 5-door. It has been spotted yesterday completely undisguised for a TVC shoot.
Launch of the Jimny is expected by mid-2023. It will be available with a 1.5-litre NA petrol engine with 4-speed auto and 5-speed manual transmission options.
The second SUV we expect to be revealed is the Baleno Cross (codenamed YTB) that is doing the rounds across the country with camouflage.
It will be based on the Baleno hatchback but will have a higher ground clearance, rugged exterior elements and different styling with an SUV coupe approach.
Maruti will display a total of 16 cars at the Auto Expo. It will include the electric SUV concept, the two new SUVs, Maruti Wagno R Flex Fuel prototype and its customised range of existing products like Grand Vitara, XL6, Ciaz, Ertiga, Brezza, Baleno, Swift, etc.
