Country’s top automaker Maruti Suzuki has issued a recall for select units of Eeco MPV to rectify an issue.
There is a possible issue of the standard symbol missing on the headlamps fitted on Eeco units manufactured between 4th November 2019 and 25th February 2020, and a few other units on which headlamps were replaced on the field.
Maruti says it will inspect 40,453 units of the Eeco that were manufactured within the above mentioned dates for the issue and adds that any action, if required, will be undertaken free of cost.
Also, the manufacturer stated that owners of the suspected vehicles under the Maruti Eeco recall campaign will be contacted by authorised Maruti Suzuki dealers in due course of time.
Should they wish, customers of suspected vehicles can also visit the “Imp Customer Info” section on the firm’s website and fill in their vehicle’s chassis number (MA3 followed by 14 digit alpha-numeric number) to check if their vehicle needs any attention and follow the instructions.
The chassis number is embossed on the vehicle ID plate and is also mentioned in the vehicle invoice/registration documents.
