The exterior of the Maruti Swift Special Edition gets new body graphics while the cabin gets new seats and red accents at a number of places and the special edition was developed on a ZXi variant that is powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine.
Maruti Suzuki’s stall grabbed a lot of attention at the 2016 Auto Expo as it showcased the Vitara Brezza, Ignis and Baleno RS along with that the automaker also showcased special edition of existing cars such as the Swift, Swift DZire, S-Cross and Ciaz.
The Maruti Swift Special Edition showcased at the Auto Expo was developed on a red coloured ZXi model. The exteriors received white coloured racing stripes that extend from the hood to the rear via the roof while the passenger doors had the number ’10’ written on them and another set of stripes were found on the rear doors running from the left side to the right.
The body coloured bumper, side skirts and rear spoiler are extended in the Maruti Swift Special Edition while it receives new black coloured alloy wheels. Other than this, the car gets white coloured ORVMs and fog lamp enclosures that are otherwise silver coloured.
Coming to the interiors, the entire cabin has red accents at a number of places like the dashboard, door panels, carpet, seats, etc. A large number ’10’ can also be found on the red and black seats with contrast stitching, these stitches are also seen on the gear lever and steering wheel cover. Other changes include the centre armrest for the front seats and the AVN infotainment system.
As mentioned earlier, the Maruti Swift Special Edition is developed on a ZXi model which is the top-end petrol variant and is powered by a 1.2-litre four-cylinder engine that produces 84.3 PS and 115 Nm of torque while mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. No information about the launch or price of this edition is revealed.
