Maruti Suzuki has silently updated the Swift & Ertiga with new infotainment system.
While majority of the cars in Maruti Suzuki lineup are offered with SmartPlay Studio infotainment system, the Swift and Ertiga were still using the old touchscreen unit with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Maruti Suzuki has silently updated the Swift and Ertiga now with the new SmartPlay Studio infotainment. It comes with a 7-inch touchscreen display with new interface and more features.
It includes Navigation System with Live Traffic Update, voice command, remote control through app, etc. It also tells you news updates, weather report and restaurant recommendations via AHA Radio.
It also displays fuel economy stats including driving range, average consumption, etc. The Swift continues to come with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.
Apart from this update, there are no other changes to the cars. Maruti Suzuki is soon expected to offer a more powerful 1.2-litre K12C DualJet petrol motor in the Swift that produces 90 PS and 113 Nm of torque.
The current 1.2-litre K12B engine produces 83 PS and 113 Nm of torque. The new K12C engine will make its debut in the Swift with the facelifted model which is expected to be launched soon.
