Yet another limited edition Maruti Swift has been launched in the Indian market.
Maruti Swift Deca Limited Edition, Glory Limited Edition, SP Limited Edition, Windsong Limited Edition and now a Swift only with the ‘Limited Edition’ badge. Maruti Suzuki is very well known for launching limited editions of their vehicles every now and then and now the automaker has launched yet another special edition of this popular hatchback. The Limited Edition Swift is positioned between the LXi/LDi and VXi/VDi variants and is priced at Rs. 5.44 lakhs for the petrol version and Rs. 6.39 lakhs for the diesel variant (both prices, ex-showroom, Delhi).
The Limited Edition model gets body decals on the bonnet, roof and doors. On the inside, the car gets seat covers and a steering wheel cover that matches the exterior decals. It also gets carpet mats and a touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. The infotainment system gets speakers with extra bass.
The hatchback gets no mechanical changes as such. It continues to be powered by the same 1.2-litre petrol and 1.3-litre diesel engines. The petrol engine makes 84 PS of power and 115 Nm of torque, while the oil-burner is good for 75 PS of power and 190 Nm of torque. Both the motors are paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox. As the launch of the next generation Swift is nearing, the Limited Edition has been launched in a bid to push year-end sales and clear stocks of the current model.
The next generation Maruti Swift will be showcased at the 2018 Auto Expo to be held in February.
