The Maruti Swift DLX special edition gets a driver side airbag as standard fitment.
The Maruti Swift has kept all its competitors at bay even though it might have a few missing features compared to rivals. Now, Maruti has updated the DLX edition of the Swift and has added a driver side airbag as standard fitment for this edition. The car now costs Rs. 4.80 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the petrol version.
Other than the airbag, the Swift DLX carries forward other features like music system with Bluetooth and USB, power windows for all doors, central locking and blacked-out pillars. These come in as additional features as the Swift DLX is based on the LXi version which does not get any of these features.
The Maruti Swift DLX comes only with one engine which is the 1.2-litre K-Series petrol unit paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The engine produces a maximum power of 84.3 PS and 114 Nm of peak torque. The company claims a fuel economy of 20.4 km/l. The automaker is also planning on launching the new Swift for the Indian market by the end of this year.
