Maruti Suzuki can’t seem to get enough of limited edition variants. Clearly sales of its petrol cars are struggling and thus India’s largest automaker (by volume) is resorting to limited edition models which offer very little value to the buyers. The latest is the WagonR Pro, which is nothing but a regular WagonR VXi with ten accessories. According to the company, these accessories are worth Rs. 30,000/- and the buyer gets them for Rs. 20,000/- by purchasing the WagonR Pro. So we can safely assume the price of the WagonR Pro to be Rs. 20,000/- more than the regular WagonR.

The WagonR is powered by a 1.0-litre K-Series engine which also does duty in the Alto K10 and A-Star. It produces a power output of 67 BHP and a torque output of 90 Nm. The WagonR Pro is yet another gimmick by Maruti Suzuki. While Toyota is offering TRD accessories on the Etios Liva, all Maruti could come up with is after market fitments which anyone can purchase at their local dealer. We are also quite unsure about the usage of Pro on the WagonR. What is so pro about accessories which in no way improve the driving dynamics or performance of the car in any way what so ever?
