These prices easily undercut the Grand Vitara’s rivals like the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos, and they also give us a glimpse of how Toyota’s version, Urban Cruiser Hyryder, is going to be priced. When launched, the Grand Vitara will become Maruti Suzuki’s flagship model.

There are 2 trims on offer – Intelligent Electric Hybrid and Progressive Smart Hybrid. The Intelligent Electric Hybrid trim gets a 1.5-litre self-charging strong hybrid powertrain. There are 4 modes – EV, Eco, Power, and Normal, with a best-in-class fuel efficiency of 27.97 km/l.

The Progressive Smart Hybrid trim gets the 1.5-litre next-gen K-series dual jet, dual VVT engine with brake energy regeneration, torque assist, idle stop start, and a fuel-efficiency of 21.11 km/l for MT, 20.58 km/l for AT, and 19.38 km/l for the AWD variants.

Transmissions include an e-CVT for the Intelligent Electric Hybrid trim and 6-speed automatic with paddle shifters or 5-speed manual in the Progressive Smart Hybrid trim.

The SUV also comes with Suzuki ALLGRIP SELECT legendry off-roading prowess providing intelligent all-wheel drive capability as per drive condition. There are 4 modes – Auto, Sport, Snow, and Lock.
