Maruti Suzuki has teased the head-up display (HUD) of the upcoming Brezza, variants and colours revealed too
Ahead of the launch slated for 30th June, Maruti Suzuki has teased the head-up display (HUD) of the upcoming Brezza compact SUV. Looking similar to that of the Baleno’s unit, the HUD can be seen nicely popping up from the dashboard in the teaser.
It looks intuitive showing a lot of information like time, speed, RPM, drive mode, etc. It will get featured on the top-end models of the SUV. Just yesterday, Maruti Suzuki teased the Brezza’s sunroof, and LED headlamps and tail lamps, the features the compact SUV’s gonna get for the first time.
The variants and colour options of the compact SUV have also been revealed. It will get a total of 7 variants and 9 colours. The variants include 5 MT LXI, 5MT VXI, 5MT ZXI, 5MT ZXI+, 6AT VXI, 6AT ZXI, 6AT ZXI+.
The colours on offer include Pearl Artic White, Prime Splendid Silver, Metallic Magma Grey, Sizzling Red, Exuberant Blue, Pearl Brave Khaki, Sizzling Red and Black, Black and Splendid Silver, and White and Brave Khaki. The last 3 are dual-tone shades.
From the leaked images earlier, we can confirm that the overall layout of the cabin feels like that of the regular Maruti Suzukis with the usual flat bottom steering wheel and twin-pod instrument cluster.
The biggest change, however, is the addition of the infotainment system on the new free-standing display as per the current trend. For the first time, the Brezza has got rear AC vents too with blower control and a 12 volt power socket.
With the addition of rear AC vents, the compact SUV gets dual-zone climate control. The AC controls are a direct lift from the Baleno. The infotainment system gets wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The car will sport a 360 degree camera, 6 airbags, and TPMS. As the upcoming Brezza is based on the same Global C platform, it’s is expected to achieve a 5-star safety rating this time as the existing model itself got 4 stars with dual airbags.
The upcoming Brezza will be powered by the updated 1.5-litre K15C engine borrowed from the new Ertiga and XL6. In its current form, the mild-hybrid mill with integrated starter generator puts out 102 HP and 137 Nm.
There will be an option to choose either a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.
You can now officially book the car at all Maruti Suzuki Arena dealerships across the country or even via Maruti Suzuki’s website. The booking amount is Rs. 11,000/-.
The upcoming Brezza might command a premium over the existing Vitara Brezza. It will compete against the likes of the Toyota Urban Cruiser, Mahindra XUV300, Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Renault Kiger, Nissan Magnite, and Kia Sonet.
