Maruti Super Carry recalled, produced between 26th April and 1st August 2018.
Maruti Suzuki is presently India’s top-setting automobile brand and churns out staggering sales each month. The automaker entered the commercial vehicle segment recently with the launch of the Super Carry, a rival to the Tata Ace. It has now made a voluntary recall of it LCV.
The Indo-Japanese automaker has recalled 5900 units of its commercial vehicle Super Carry over a possible fault in the fuel filter. Starting from 26th December 2018 (today), the concerned customers will be contacted. The inspection and required replacement will be done free of cost.
The units of the Maruti Super Carry that were produced between 26th April and 1st August 2018, fall under the possibility of being affected with the defect. However, the total number (5900) also includes the ones that already have their fuel filter replaced.
Besides waiting for the company to contact, the customers can even find out for themselves whether their vehicle needs attention or not. This can be done by visiting the official website of the company (marutisuzuki.com) and clicking on the “Imp. Customer Info” tab. This will redirect them to the information about the Super Carry. Here, the customers can fill in the chassis number to get to know whether it is required to be taken for a free inspection and replacement or not.
The chassis number is embossed in the ID plates of the vehicles and is also mentioned on the registration certificate or the invoice. It is an alpha-numeric number and starts with MA3.
