The Maruti S-Presso will launch on 30th September in 4 variants.
Maruti Suzuki’s latest upcoming offering the S-Presso has been revealed officially in a set of images. The compact car is set for a launch on 30th September 2019. It gets an SUV-inspired upright stance, complemented with sporty black claddings and high ground clearance. The S-Presso is based on Maruti Suzuki’s Heartect platform.
The official set of images rest all design speculations regarding this car. The cabin images reveal that the overall dashboard design is carried over from the Future S concept shown at the Auto Expo 2018. The Maruti S-Presso boasts of an all-black interior with an orange border on the top-spec variant. The car gets a digital speedometer, tachometer along with the company’s SmartPlay Studio touchscreen infotainment system finished with a large circular outline that seems inspired from the Mini.
According to the pictures, the Maruti S-Presso will sport the same steering wheel as the Wagon R with steering-mounted audio and phone controls. The model will come with dual front airbags on higher variants, along with other safety equipment like ABS, a speed warning system and rear parking sensors standard on the entire line-up.
As mentioned before, the Maruti S-Presso will be powered by the same 1.0-litre engine we find in the Alto K10. It is going to be a BS6-compliant 3-cylinder petrol engine producing 67 PS at 5500 RPM and 90 Nm of peak torque. The engine will come mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox and a 5-speed AGS (Auto Gear Shift) or AMT (Automated Manual Transmission Unit).
