Maruti S-Presso is a sub Rs. 5 lakh entry level micro SUV targeted for first time buyers.
Maruti S-Presso is the production version of Maruti Future-S concept debuted at the last Auto Expo of 2018. It is expected to launch this Diwali. S-Presso will be the second car by Maruti Suzuki to be completely developed by the Indian R & D unit, with design and engineering sourced from Rohtak, Haryana.
The S-Presso will be powered by the Maruti’s entry-level 1.0-litre three cylinder engine giving out 68 BHP of power and 90 Nm of torque. This engine will be BS6 compliant. It will come with ABS and airbags as standard. Maruti will also be providing an AMT version.
The S-Presso is a bold looking micro SUV, providing high ground clearance. It will be featuring a segment leading touchscreen infotainment system with rear parking sensors and camera. The dual colour option will be provided to appeal to the young buyers.
The micro SUV will be challenging the Renault Kwid in the entry level space. The price for the S-Presso can be expected to be around Rs. 4.5-5 lakhs mark.
