The Maruti Suzuki S-Presso is expected to be priced between Rs. 4-6 lakhs (ex-showroom).
Maruti Suzuki is set to introduce its small car, the S-Presso in the festive season this year. The vehicle will follow an SUV design concept and borrow some features from the Future S concept showcased at the 2018 Auto Expo. It is likely to be offered in dual-tone body paint options and with higher ground clearance.
Spy shots of the Maruti S-Presso reveal a sizeable front grille, large angular halogen headlamps and a pair of sweptback tail lamps with integrated turn signal and brake lights. While base variants could run on 13-inch alloy wheels, higher trims could get 14-inch alloy wheels.
The Maruti S-Presso will most likely receive a 7-inch infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. In terms of safety, it will get dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, speed alert system, reverse parking sensors and seat belt reminders. It is expected to meet the latest Bharat NCAP norms as well.
Under the hood, the Maruti S-Presso will get a BS6 compliant 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder, K10B petrol engine producing 82 PS of power and 114 Nm of torque mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. An automatic transmission will be on offer as well.
The Maruti S-Presso is expected to be priced between Rs. 4-6 lakhs (ex-showroom) and will rival the Renault Kwid.
