Other models in Maruti Suzuki’s portfolio will also be subjected to the price hike in July 2021
India’s top automaker Maruti Suzuki has rolled out a price hike in July 2021 for the popular Swift hatchback and all of its CNG models.
Now, the vehicles are costlier by Rs. 15,000/- and the auto major has said the asking price of its other products will also be increased in due course of time.
Today, in a regulatory filing, Maruti Suzuki has stated, that the price hike has been made “owing to increase in various input costs” and added that the new prices of the models mentioned above are effective from 12th July 2021.
Late last month, Maruti had stated through a regulatory filing that its vehicles continue to be “adversely impacted due to increase in various input costs” over the past year.
Maruti added, that it has become imperative for it to pass on some impact of the “additional cost to customers through a price rise.” As stated, the company has increased the asking price of select models.
This is the third time the manufacturer has increased the ex-showroom cost of its cars this year. The previous instalments came in January and in April.
