The compact sedan segment is one of the fastest growing segments in the Indian market. The Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire is the segment leader in the compact sedan space and we are going to see more number of vehicles in this segment in the near future. The automaker has launched a limited edition variant of the Swift DZire in the Indian market and this special edition vehicle will be available only with the base LDi variant. Maruti has launched this special edition variant in-order to boost the sales registers by offering customers more value for the money spent. It is also a way to draw attention away from the upcoming Hyundai Xcent.
The Swift DZire base LDi variant misses upon several essential features when compared with the higher variants while this special edition LDiX variant is loaded with essential and additional features such as central locking with remote, double-DIN audio system with four speakers, all four power windows, vanity mirror under passenger side sun visor, day/night integrated rear view mirror, body coloured wing mirrors with integrated turn indicators as well as front fog lamps.
With the addition of all these features, the Swift DZire LDiX variant will now offer features similar to the VDi variant. The Maruti Swift DZire LDiX variant is priced at Rs. 6.86 lakhs (on-road, Delhi) which makes the additional equipment worth Rs. 46,500/-. The carmaker has also announced that there will be special offers on 2013 models (last year’s remaining stock in its dealerships) across the country. The automaker is currently offering a loyalty or exchange bonus of Rs 15,000/- and a corporate discount of Rs. 1500/- on the 2014 models.
