Maruti has introduced the Ignis AMT in the top end Alpha variant, is priced at Rs. 7.01 lakhs.
The Maruti Ignis Alpha AMT has been launched and comes priced at Rs. 7.01 lakhs for the petrol variant and Rs. 8.08 lakhs for the diesel variant (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Ignis AMT was previously available only in the Delta and Zeta variants.
Maruti had this strategy of offering the automatic gearbox models only in the base and mid-level variants, but with the launch of the Ignis Alpha AMT and the Baleno Alpha CVT some weeks back, seems like that strategy has seen some tweaks.
The Ignis Alpha AMT variant gets automatic climate control, driver seat height adjustment, rear parking camera, SmartPlay infotainment system, puddle lamps, and LED headlamps with LED DRLs over the Zeta variant. Powering the Ignis Alpha AMT petrol is a 1.2-litre engine that produces 83 HP of power and 113 Nm of torque. The Ignis Alpha AMT diesel gets a 1.3-litre DDiS engine that produces 75 HP of power and 190 Nm of torque. The AMT gearbox is a 5-speed unit.
