We recently reported to you that Suzuki’s head is angry over the whole Manser worker strike issue as it stalled the whole production line and pushed waiting period ahead. Now we get news that Maruti has recruite new permanent employees which will replace the old ones. To tackle this sticky situation Maruti has come up with a new plan where they will ask the old workers to sign a ‘Good Conduct Bond’ the ones who refuse will be removed and replaced by new workers who will be on the permanent roll. Currently the company has employed 1000 new workers.
Maruti Suzuki has resumed normal production of the new Swift at its Manesar plant. The company will produce 500 units of the Swift everyday, taking the production to close to 12000 units a month. Furthermore, the company will also be cutting down exports and starting another shift to boost production further to 18000 units soon. Bookings will be opened in a short while. The workers strike is yet to be resolved thought but Maruti Suzuki wants to ensure that they don’t loose customers.
