Maruti Futuro-E name has been trademarked which is most likely the new Maruti EV.
Maruti Suzuki is in the race of developing an all-new electric vehicle for the Indian market that will be affordable for a wide audience. The company has trademarked Maruti Futuro-E naming which looks like an EV.
India’s largest carmaker is expected to showcase their new electric vehicle concept which is most likely to be called as Futuro-E concept at the Auto Expo 2020.
The trademark filed suggests that the development process of their new EV has begun. The Futuro-E electric vehicle could be based on the Maruti S-Presso that was showcased as Future-S concept at the Auto Expo 2018.
Maruti Suzuki is already testing a Wagon R based EV since a long time, which is expected to be positioned above the Futuro-E electric vehicle. We believe the mass market electric vehicle from Maruti Suzuki will take its shape very soon.
