Maruti Fronx Velocity Edition gets a long list of additional accessories on offer
Maruti Fronx Velocity Edition launched with a starting price of Rs. 7.29 lakhs (ex-showroom). The carmaker is celebrating 1,00,000 sales milestone of the Fronx within 10 months of its launch. This special edition is nothing but an accessorised version that is available across all the 14 variants comprising 1.2-litre (Petrol and CNG) and 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine options with a choice of manual and automatic transmissions.
The Maruti Fronx Velocity Edition for the 1.2-litre Sigma variant will be available for Rs. 7.29 lakhs (ex-showroom) for a limited period of time. It is Rs. 22,000/- cheaper than the regular Sigma 1.2 MT variant, which currently retails at Rs. 7.51 lakhs (ex-showroom).
Some of these accessories include bumper garnish with red and black accents, head lamp garnish, wheel arch garnish, front grille with red accents, body side moulding, illuminated door sill guard, designer mats, spoiler extender, door visor, ORVM cover and more. The 1.0-litre turbo petrol variants get exterior styling kit of grey and red combinations with this special edition. You can have a look at the complete list of accessories on offer.
Maruti Suzuki is aiming to boost the sales of the Fronx with the introduction of this special edition. Also, with the revised pricing of the entry-level trim, the carmaker wants to make the Fronx more accessible to a wider audience.
The Fronx is powered by two engine options – 1.2-litre, naturally aspirated, 4-cylinder unit making 89.7 PS and 113 Nm torque and a 1.0-litre, turbocharged, 3-cylinder unit delivering 100 PS and 147.6 Nm torque. The former is offered with a 5-speed MT or AMT while the latter gets a 5-speed MT or 6-speed AT.
The Fronx CNG is available with the 1.2-litre petrol engine producing 77.5 PS at 6000 RPM and 98.5 Nm torque at 4300 RPM. It is mated to a 5-speed transmission and returns a claimed fuel efficiency of 28.5 km/kg.
