The Maruti Suzuki Fronx has been launched in India with a starting price of Rs. 7.46 Lakh (ex-showroom). The vehicle was first showcased at the 2023 Auto Expo and we drove it earlier this month. The Fronx is based on the Baleno but gets a variety of changes.
The fascia takes inspiration from the Grand Vitara and the Fronx has a number of visual differences from the Baleno. It looks sporty, has a sloping roofline and gets body cladding along with higher ground clearance.
On the inside, the Maruti Suzuki Fronx gets features like 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP, 9-inch touchscreen with Arkamys speakers, auto climate control, keyless-go with push button start, HUD, etc.
The automaker is offering this vehicle with a choice of two engine options – 1.2-litre, naturally aspirated, 4-cylinder unit making 89.7 PS & 113 Nm and a 1.0-litre, turbocharged, 3-cylinder unit delivering 100 PS and 147.6 Nm. The former is offered with a 5-speed MT or AMT while the latter gets a 5-speed MT or 6-speed AT.

1.2 AMT – 22.89 km/l
1.0 MT – 21.50 km/l
1.0 AT – 20.01 km/l
