Maruti Ertiga Special Edition has been showcased at the ongoing Auto Expo.
Besides a host of new products and concepts, Maruti Suzuki has readied a special edition of the popular MPV Ertiga for the 2018 Auto Expo. Since its launch in 2012, the 7-seater has been a hit among families due to its attractive pricing and the brand’s massive service network. The Japanese automaker is known for offering too many limited editions to stir demand for its products.
Post its facelift in 2015, the last limited edition to the Ertiga came in March last year. This time, the automaker has provided a full body kit complete with front and rear diffusers and side skirts, door beadings with chrome garnish and a rear spoiler. This addition has resulted in a more substantial stance for the MPV. Features such as rear wiper, alloy wheels and fog lamps are standard as the car is based on top-end ZXi+ and ZDi+ trims.
On the inside is where changes are more prominent as the cabin of the Maruti Ertiga Special Edition is finished in black instead of beige in regular version. The seats are now clad in maroon faux leather upholstery which uplifts the ambience to a great extent. This treatment is also seen on the multi-function steering wheel. Apart from this, there are no changes on the inside and the cabin continues with silver accents.
Powered by the same set of 1.4-litre petrol and 1.3-litre diesel engines, the Special Edition car witnesses no changes on the mechanical front. The petrol motor is good for 94 HP of power and the diesel mill produces 89 HP of power. Both the motors come mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. Price for the regular Ertiga starts from Rs. 6.67 lakhs (ex-showroom, Mumbai).
