Maruti Ertiga Cross has been spotted on test with heavy camouflage revealing some details.
Just like how Honda BR-V is based on the Mobilio, the Ertiga Cross will be the more rugged counterpart of the regular version. Since a long time there have been rumours about Maruti introducing a more premium version of the Ertiga, this is it! The Ertiga Cross will gain some muscle and is expected to be sold via the Nexa dealership network.
The front of the car gets an upright stance with a raised bonnet and larger headlamps. The headlights are expected to be all-LED units with a chrome line running across the face. The side profile reveals a slightly raised stance, expected to get higher ground clearance. It also gets roof rails for added visual appeal.
The rear profile of the Maruti Ertiga Cross will be getting some changes too including tweaked tail lamps. The lower half of the body will get black cladding for the rugged appearance. The interiors might get some added features and a different colour theme compared to the regular Ertiga.
The biggest change you might notice are the captain seats, which means this will be a 6-seater version of the Ertiga. It will be getting BS6 compliant petrol and diesel engine options at the time of the launch. We expect Maruti Suzuki to reveal the Ertiga Cross later this year.
