Maruti teased the new MPV likely to be called Engage
Maruti Engage, yes that is most likely the production name of the rebadged Toyota Innova Hycross. Maruti Suzuki has officially teased the MPV with a silhouette of the car confirming the launch date of 5th July 2023.
This will the flagship vehicle for India’s largest carmaker. The brand will touch the Rs. 30 lakhs price range for the first time with the rebranded HyCross.
Recently the design patents of the Maruti Engage got leaked giving us a hint of the overall styling. Maruti will differentiate the styling by changing the soft parts of the HyCross including the grille, bumpers and most probably the alloy wheels.
Of course we will be seeing the Suzuki logo and new lettering across the exterior and interior of the MPV. However, it is yet to be known if Maruti will offer all the variants that Toyota offers.
It is expected to come with both 2.0-litre strong hybrid and 2.0-litre petrol engine options. It will be retailed via Maruti Suzuki’s premium dealership network – Nexa.
Reportedly, Toyota will allocate only 50 units of the HyCross to Maruti every month. Maruti Suzuki Chairman RC Bhargava confirmed the launch of this MPV and he claimed a couple of months ago that it won’t be a high selling model.
