The Maruti Eeco is a popular car in India due to its low cost and high practicality. However, it has bagged a zero star rating in the recent Global NCAP crash tests.
The Maruti Eeco doesn’t come with airbags and the vehicle scored zero star for adult occupancy protection and 1 star for child occupancy protection. The structure of the cabin collapsed during the crash and officials from Global NCAP stated that in such a scenario even airbags wouldn’t be much useful.
