Safety and After Sales Service – Safety has become an important selling parameter in India nowadays and Honda and Maruti Suzuki have provided ABS with EBD, dual airbags, front seat belts with pre-tensioner and force limiter as standard. Apart from this, depending on the variant you choose, your Dzire will have reverse parking sensors, front fog lamps, rear defogger, speed sensitive door locking and an anti-theft security system. The Amaze gets rear windshield defogger, rear camera with guidelines and rear parking sensors for its upper variants.
Verdict – Both Maruti and Honda are offering compelling packages with these cars but it is the Honda Amaze which shines over the Dzire. If you’re looking to purchase a petrol compact sedan, we’d recommend the Dzire because it offers better performance and efficiency than the Amaze but if you want a petrol automatic, it’d be a tough choice between both of them because the Amaze is smoother with its CVT but feels underpowered while the Dzire is punchier but comes with an AMT. If diesel is the fuel of your preference, our pick would definitely be the Amaze for both manual and automatic variants.
