Maruti Tour S based on new gen Dzire is available in petrol & petrol + CNG variants
Maruti Suzuki has launched the latest iteration of the Tour S, designed primarily for cab and fleet operators. Based on the fourth-generation Dzire, the new Tour S is available in petrol and CNG variants, with prices set at Rs. 6.79 lakhs for the petrol variant and Rs. 7.74 lakhs (ex-showroom) for the CNG version.
The updated Tour S features a refreshed front design, including a revised grille and reprofiled headlamps. To distinguish itself from the regular Dzire, the cab-focused model is equipped with black ORVMs, black door handles and 14-inch steel wheels instead of alloy wheels.
Positioned as a budget-friendly option, the Tour S is based on the entry-level LXi trim. As a result, the interior remains functional yet minimalistic, offering features such as power windows, a manual air conditioning system, a tilt-adjustable steering wheel, central locking with speed-sensing door locks and an analogue instrument cluster.
Under the hood, the Tour S is powered by Maruti Suzuki’s new 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine. It produces 80.4 BHP and 111.7 Nm of torque, paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. When running on CNG, the power output drops to 69 BHP and 101.8 Nm of torque.
In terms of efficiency, Maruti Suzuki claims a fuel economy of 26.06 km/l for the petrol variant, while the CNG version boasts an impressive 34.30 km/kg, making it a cost-effective option for commercial operators.
