The Maruti Swift DZire won’t win any beauty pageants and it is best termed as a quirky looking compact sedan. However, with the DZire Opula, Maruti has managed to make the DZire look really smacking. The design changes and new stuff like headlights and Enkei alloys go a long way in improving the vehicle’s appeal. What we don’t like about the DZire Opula is the silver pseudo body-cladding.
Overall, the Maruti Swift DZire Opula looks very good but the only grouse we have is that the rear with the new chrome strip now looks like the Renault Scala and the rear diffuser is an overkill. However, Maruti has still managed to impress us with the Opula. The Swift DZire is powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine and 1.3-litre oil-burner.
Maruti Suzuki was expected to debut the Swift and DZire facelifts at the Auto Expo but the company hasn’t revealed any plans of the same yet. Both the Swift and DZire will soon get additional equipment in the form of Bluetooth connectivity, push button start, keyless go, LED daytime running lights, etc. This will help the vehicles remain fresh in front of new cars which now come feature loaded.
