Oh Grand Vitara! We had forgotten that this vehicle still exists! Maruti has perceived itself as a cheap-car brand and hence premium vehicles like Grand Vitara and Kizashi hardly sell. The company has now displayed the Grand Vitara Luxion at the 2014 Auto Expo. The Luxion is a highly customized version of the Grand Vitara.
The shiny red and black colour combination suits the Grand Vitara. The chrome strips that Maruti has added at various places on the vehicle might appeal to some but we are not sure about it. The alloy wheels are silver but we feel that gunmetal shade would have looked much better. The grille and bumpers are also redesigned but overall not many changes to the vehicle. The Maruti Grand Vitara is powered by a 2.4-litre J series petrol engine producing 163.5 BHP of power and 225 Nm of torque and two transmission options are available – AT and MT.
