Maruti has launched the Ciaz BS6 in India, along with a new S variant.
The Maruti Ciaz line-up has been updated and now the vehicle is BS6 compliant. Maruti has also launched a new S variant for the Ciaz. The Ciaz is now the 11th model in Maruti’s portfolio to be BS6 compliant. The BS6 model gets only the 1.5-litre petrol engine as the 1.3-litre and 1.5-litre diesel engines aren’t BS6 compliant.
The Maruti Ciaz S is based on the Alpha variant and it comes with a body kit, a black boot-mounted spoiler, 16-inch black alloys and all-black interiors. Rest of the equipment and the mechanicals remain unchanged. The S variant is available only with a manual transmission.
The Maruti Ciaz was launched 5 years back and it received a mid-life facelift in 2018. The sedan is known for its attractive pricing and it rivals some other popular C-segment sedans like the Honda City, Hyundai Verna, Toyota Yaris, Volkswagen Vento and Skoda Rapid.
