Maruti Suzuki has launched a limited edition variant of the Celerio, called the Celerio VXi+. It comes at a premium of Rs. 13,990/- and is packed with some useful features.
It seems for the first time in the history of the Indian automotive market that Maruti Suzuki has launched a limited edition of one of its vehicles without those cheesy body graphics. Maruti Suzuki has just launched the Celerio VXi+ limited edition. The company is aiming to generate some sales through this variant in this festive season when Indians will be thronging showrooms to purchase vehicles. The Celerio VXi+ is based on the VXi variant and comes with the addition of a few features.
The Maruti Celerio VXi+ comes with a JVC double-din head unit paired to a set of speakers. It also gets a central locking system with remote along with body-coloured door handles and ORVMs with integrated turn indicators. All this is offered at a price of Rs. 13,990/- at the dealer level while the actual cost is Rs. 20,000/-. For Rs. 13,990/- extra, this variant does make a lot of sense since you get actual usable features that you would anyways have to fit after buying your vehicle. The Celerio VXi+ variant will be available for a limited period only.
On the mechanical front, the Maruti Celerio does not get any changes and it continues to be powered by a 1.0-litre K-series engine that churns out 68 PS of power and 90 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox as well as an AMT. The Celerio is also offered with the option of a company-fitted CNG kit. The Maruti Celerio VXi is priced at Rs. 4.05 lakhs while the Celerio VXi+ is priced at Rs. 4.19 lakhs (all prices ex-showroom, Delhi).
