Maruti Jimny and Baleno Cross launch timeline revealed
Maruti Suzuki is all set to launch two new exciting products including the much awaited Jimny and the Baleno Cross. Both the vehicles will be showcased in their production form at the upcoming Auto Expo 2023 in January.
The Maruti Jimny 5-door will be showcased for the first time in India. The SUV will go on sale in the country from August 2023. The carmaker wants to launch the car during the off-road season in monsoon showcasing its 4×4 capability.
It will be manufactured for both domestic and international market in India. The Jimny will be powered by the K15B 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. It will come with 5-speed manual and 4-speed automatic transmission options. Suzuki AllGrip four-wheel drive system will be offered with low ratio tech as well.
The Maruti Baleno Cross will be based on the Baleno hatchback with an SUV-coupe design. While it will share most of the mechanicals with the Baleno hatch, it is likely to get a new 1.0-litre turbo petrol BoosterJet engine. The Baleno Cross will go on sale by April 2023.
