Maruti Alto K10 and Wagon R score poor ratings in Global NCAP crash test
Maruti Alto K10 and Wagon R went through the Global NCAP crash test program and came out with poor ratings. The Alto K10 scored only two stars while the Wagon R got only one star in the test.
Both the cars got 0 ratings for Child Occupant Safety. The Alto K10 got 21.67 score out of 34 in Adult Occupant Safety and 3.52 out of 49 in Child Occupant Safety.
The Maruti Wagon R got 19.69 out of 34 in Adult Occupant Safety and 3.40 out of 49 in Child Occupant Safety.
For the Alto, the bodyshell was rated as stable and was capable of withstanding further loadings. In case of the Wagon R, the bodyshell was rated as unstable and not capable of withstanding further loadings.
We hope Maruti Suzuki takes the feedback and improves their safety ratings for the future models.
