In March 2022, UV sales grew by 5 percent year-on-year

The Maruti Eeco sat in the top spot of the UV sales chart for March 2022 by registering sales of 9221 units and the second place went not to the Ertiga, but to a very popular premium MPV.
And that car is none other than the Toyota Innova Crysta which found 7917 new takers last month, thereby relegating the Maruti Ertiga (7888 units) to third place.
The Kia Carens is performing well since debut and in March 2022, just over 7000 individuals in India took home a new unit of the feature-rich MPV home.
Mahindra’s trusty Bolero was next in the March 2022 UV sales chart with sales of 6924 units, while the Renault Triber performed well to register sales of 3561 units during the same period.
Maruti’s XL6, which is soon set to be refreshed, found 2000 new homes this past month, and it was followed by the Kia Carnival (328 units), Mahindra Marazzo (279 units) and the Toyota Hilux (43 units).
Of the 10 models featured in the list, the Carnival (629 percent), Innova Crysta (38 percent) and the Marazzo (9 percent) did well to register year-on-year (YoY) sales growth.
Overall, the MPVs in the above list registered sales of 45,169 units in March 2022 as opposed to 42,993 during the same period last year, which is a growth of 5 percent YoY.
