Maruti has seen taking the top 5 spots since the start of the year.
Month after month, we have seen Maruti Suzuki dominate the top 5 spots in sales in the Indian market. This month is no exception for the manufacturer, with Maruti cars taking the top 6 spots in the number of vehicles sold. The Dzire is leading the pack with 19,935 units sold in the month of March. Following the Dzire, we see Baleno, Alto, Wagon R, Swift, and Vitara Brezza take up the top 6 spots respectively.
Maruti has again recorded the highest Mom growth with the Celerio that rose up by 225 percent since the past month. The Alto has also noticed a decline in sales by 32%, with Maruti finally pulling the plug on the best-selling entry-level hatchback of all time. The new-comer from Mahindra, the XUV300 has reported sales of 4742 units, fetching a 22nd place on the list. The Honda City is dwelling on the bottom of the list, with only a 5% increase in sales from the past month.
Apart from the list, Tata Sumo has seen a massive drop of 67% from 291 units to 96 units from February to March since it has been discontinued. Maruti Gypsy has also seen only 3 units sold this month, it is the lowest selling car in the Maruti product line-up. Shockingly, Mahindra Thar has recorded 0 sales this month and Honda Brio has sold only 1 unit this month, which is a unit more than what Honda managed to sell last month.
