A better after market service has become one of the important factors customers consider while choosing a product. Longer warranty periods are always a welcome by the customers. Mahindra, in order to boost their customers confidence, is providing a warranty of 3 years / 1,00,000 kilometers (which ever is earlier). This is being offered on the new Xylo. By no doubt, the offer comes with all the variants of Xylo. Mahindra is not the first manufacturer to offer such a warranty and Toyota has always offered the same duration warranty on its cars.
The 2012 Mahindra Xylo receives 50 changes and features included in five variants powered by three diesel engine options. The five variants are namely D2, D4, E4, E8 and E9. It comes in 6 colors to choose from – Diamond White, Fiery Black, Java Brown, Mist Silver, Toreador Red and Rocky Beige. It also has a Voice Command Technology for vehicle commands, enabling customers to control actions in their new Xylo merely by talking to it. It also features third row space, flat bed seats, Digital Drive Assist System (DDAS), foldable flight trays, Intellipark Reverse Assist, Airbags, ABS with EBD and surround cool dual ACs, dual mobile charging points.
The three engine options are the 112 BHP mEagle engine, 120 BHP mHawk engine and the mDI CRDe engine. The Mahindra Xylo E9 debuts, which uses the Scorpio’s engine, producing 120 BHP of power and 280 Nm of torque. The Xylo m-Hawk returns 14.02 kmpl and is mated to an all new 5-speed manual transmission, which will soon debut in the Scorpio. The rest of the variants (except the base variant) are powered by the same 2.5-litre mEagle engine which produces 112 BHP of power and 260 Nm of torque. This engine returns 13 kmpl. The base variant of the Xylo, which is targeted at the taxi market is powered by the mDI CRDe engine and produces 95 BHP of power and returns 14.95 kmpl (all mileage figures are as per ARAI).
