Mahindra XUV700 achieves 2,00,000 units production milestone in 33 months

The Mahindra XUV700 has achieved a significant production milestone, surpassing two lakh units within less than three years since its launch in August 2021. To commemorate this achievement, Mahindra has introduced two new colour options for the SUV – Deep Forest Green and Burnt Sienna.

The XUV700 reached its first one lakh units in 21 months, with the subsequent one lakh units produced in just 12 months, highlighting its growing popularity. The new colour options, Deep Forest and Burnt Sienna, are available across all variants. These new shades are added to the existing palette of single-tone colours, which includes Dazzling Silver, Electric Blue, Everest White, Midnight Black, Red Rage and Napoli Black.

The Mahindra XUV700 offers two engine options: a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 200 HP and a 2.2-litre diesel engine with up to 185 HP. Both engines come with a choice of a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed torque converter automatic. The diesel variant is available with an all-wheel-drive option, while the petrol variant is front-wheel drive only.

The XUV700 is priced between Rs. 13.99 lakhs and Rs. 26.99 lakhs, positioning it competitively within its segment. It competes with models such as the Tata Harrier, Tata Safari, MG Hector, MG Hector Plus, Hyundai Alcazar and Jeep Compass. Additionally, Mahindra is developing a fully-electric version, the XUV.e8, which is expected to be launched by the end of the year.

Mahindra is also preparing to launch a comprehensive facelift of the XUV700, which is rumoured to be renamed as XUV 7XO, just like the new nomenclature of the XUV300 which is now called XUV 3XO. The updated model will come with a revised design language, new interior elements and a host of new features on offer.
