Mahindra XUV700 6-seater launch is expected to be announced next year
Mahindra XUV700 is currently available on sale with 5-seater (2 row) and 7-seater (3 row) options but soon it is expected to come with a 6-seater variant as well.
The interior layout of the 6-seater version has been leaked via the AdrenoX app. It reveals the captain seats with individual arm rests in the middle row. Until now, the SUV was only available with a bench seat for the second row while its closest rival, the Tata Safari already had the captain seats on offer.
Currently the Indian UV maker is dealing with the huge semiconductor shortage crisis and the waiting period of the new Cheetah has gone up to 19-20 months.
We don’t expect Mahindra to announce the launch of the 6-seater version anytime soon but eventually once they are able to ramp up the production, they might introduce the much awaited captain seats equipped trims.
The SUV comes with both diesel and petrol engine options – 2.2-litre mHawk diesel and 2.0-litre mStallion turbo petrol. Both the engines are available with a choice of 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmission options.
