Mahindra XUV500 special edition has been showcased at Automobile Barcelona along with other models in the line up.
Mahindra has showcased the XUV500 special edition featuring dual-tone colour scheme at the Automobile Barcelona that started off on May 11, 2017.
The XUV500 special edition showcased was in a dark brownish orange shade. The XUV500 special edition model features newly designed black alloy wheels and blacked out roof rails, pillars, roof and ORVMs. The special edition model also features integrated displays in the front headrests for second row passengers’ entertainment.
The XUV500 special edition is available in the top W10 grade and is powered by a 2.2-litre mHawk turbocharged diesel engine that punches out 140 HP of power and 330 Nm of torque. This engine comes mated to a 6-speed manual transmission that channels power to the wheels. While in India this engine is offered with a 6-speed automatic transmission too.
As of now, Mahindra hasn’t announced any plans of bringing this XUV500 special edition to India. Meanwhile, Mahindra had just updated the XUV500 last month with Android Auto, Connected Apps, EcoSense and Emergency Call and also offered a new Lakeside Brown colour scheme.
Mahindra was supposed to bring a mild-hybrid tech with the update, but looks like that will make it in the next update along with some cosmetic changes.
