Mahindra XUV300 W2 variant makes it more accessible to a wider audience
Mahindra has recently launched two new variants of the XUV300 – W2 and W4 (with TurboSport). These new entry-level variants make the compact SUV more desirable to a wider audience. This seems like a strategical move ahead of the festive season to boost sales.
The W2 variant is the latest entry-level option for the XUV300 that comes with a price tag of Rs. 7.99 lakhs (ex-showroom). It comes with a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine that produces 109 BHP at 5000 RPM and 200 Nm of torque at 2000 – 3500 RPM.
Meanwhile, the W4 trim has been introduced for the XUV300 TurboSport model that comes with a price tag of Rs. 9.29 lakhs (ex-showroom). It also boasts the 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine but with a higher power output of 129 BHP at 5000 RPM and 230 Nm torque at 1500 – 3750 RPM. Both the variants come with a 6-speed manual gearbox.
What makes the W4 variant of the XUV300 particularly interesting is the inclusion of a sunroof. This sunroof feature is also available in the W4 diesel variant.
Recently, the Indian UV maker introduced more features in the electric version of the XUV300 – Mahindra XUV400. The new addition of features makes the EV more practical and competitive in the segment, rivalling Tata Nexon EV.
Mahindra is also developing a new comprehensive facelift of the XUV300 that will get a heavily revised exterior and interior. It will come with more features as well including a panoramic sunroof, which will be a first in segment feature for compact SUVs.
