Mahindra XUV.e9 Interior Leaked, Design Revealed In Spy Shots

Mahindra XUV.e9 interior leaked in clear spy shots, launch likely in 2025

Mahindra XUV.e9 spy shots have surfaced, offering a sneak peek into its futuristic interior and design. Slated for an April 2025 launch in India, the XUV.e9 all-electric SUV coupe is being prepared to get some action in the Indian EV space.

The interior spy shots of the XUV.e9 reveal a futuristic and user-centric design. The first thing to notice is a massive screen that spans from pillar to pillar, housing three high-resolution 12.3-inch displays.

Complementing this high-tech centrepiece is a two-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel, dual dials for adjusting drive modes and all-wheel-drive settings along with a sleek gear shift lever on the centre console. Trapezoidal central air-con vents, climate control knobs and square-ish side AC vents complete the interior layout.

The range topping variant is expected to get heads-up display (HUD) with augmented navigation, a vehicle-to-load (V2L) function for external device power and Level 2 ADAS capabilities.

Despite heavy camouflage on the test mule, key design elements have emerged. The closed-off grille area signifies its electric nature, while a huge slot above the grille hints at a full-width LED band. Although the prototype sports halogen dummy headlights, the production version is expected to feature LED units.

The rear of the XUV.e9 showcases a distinctive raked roofline, characteristic of SUV coupes, seamlessly transitioning into a substantial rear spoiler. Drawing inspiration from the concept revealed last year, this spoiler is set to house tail-lights and an LED light band.

Mahindra has confirmed that the XUV.e9 will share its battery pack and motor options with the upcoming XUV.e8. The range-topping variant is anticipated to be equipped with an 80 kWh battery powering two motors, offering all-wheel-drive capabilities. Power output is expected to be ranging from 230 HP to 350 HP. Mahindra’s claims suggest a range of 435-450 km under WLTP testing norms.

Given Mahindra’s collaboration with Volkswagen-Skoda for localized EV development, pricing for the XUV.e9 is anticipated to be competitive. It will be positioned above the XUV.e8 in Mahindra’s EV lineup.
