Mahindra BE.05 Prototype

Mahindra XUV 7XO is likely to be the new name of the XUV700 facelift

Mahindra recently trademarked the nomenclature XUV 7XO, which follows their latest naming strategy that we have seen first with the XUV 3XO, which is a comprehensive facelift of the XUV300. Similarly we will see the 7XO naming with the heavily updated Mahindra XUV700 that has been spotted testing with heavy camouflage along with the all-electric BE.05.

The Mahindra BE.05 will be an all-electric SUV Coupe, based on a completely new INGLO platform. It will belong to the Hyundai Creta segment having a similar footprint. In terms of design, it will get a futuristic exterior with sharp styling cues to make it look sporty. As you can already see with the prototype that the vehicle gets funky design elements like a narrow window line, huge tail with sleek LED tail lights, sporty roof mounted spoiler and sharp side profile.

The Mahindra BE.05 will get a futuristic interior as well with a floating dashboard design having new centre console elements and funky new steering wheel with illuminated Mahindra logo. You can expect some advanced features on offer that we usually find in some luxury cars to lure the mass market car buyers. Technical details of the electric powertrain are not disclosed yet but we can expect a range of around 500 km on full charge.

The Mahindra XUV 7XO will also get some drastic changes over the current model on sale. The exterior will follow the latest design direction of the carmaker with a busy front profile having a completely redesigned headlight cluster and DRLs. There will be a new grille design on offer along with updated bumpers. The side profile will remain more or less the same but come with new alloy wheel designs. The rear will get a redesigned tailgate and updated lights.

The interior of the facelifted XUV700 will also come with substantial tweaks including a new steering wheel design with illuminated logo in the centre, inspired by the new Tata cars. There will be slight changes on the dashboard and of course it will be loaded with some new features on offer.

It will get an all-electric variant this time around along with the diesel and petrol engine options. The XUV 7XO is expected to make its debut sometime later this year or next year. The BE.05 is expected to launch later next year.
