Mahindra XUV 7X0 and XUV 3X0 nomenclature trademarked
Mahindra has recently trademarked a couple of new nomenclatures including XUV 7X0 and XUV 3X0. These are likely to be the production version names of their upcoming electric SUVs based on the new INGLO architecture.
Rather than having a set of completely new names for the EV counterpart of SUVs, this new strategy of keeping similar nomenclatures with the inclusion of X will streamline their portfolio, differentiating the ICE and EV versions neatly.
One of the upcoming electric SUVs that was called XUV.e9 in its concept version has been spotted on test recently. The prototype of the SUV coupe electric vehicle looks quite funky with the blue wrap and has got a futuristic look to it, thanks to the quirky tail lights design and the steeply raked rear profile.
A quick glimpse inside revealed a triple screen layout of the electric SUV, which will make it to the production version. The dashboard is all-screen which includes the digital instrument cluster, a sizeable infotainment touchscreen unit and a passenger-side screen as well. This will be the first vehicle in the mass market segment that will be offering a passenger side screen.
Technical specifications of the new electric vehicles are not known yet but the flagship version is expected to come with a range of over 600 km on full charge. The upcoming Mahindra EVs are likely to offer strong performance with a blend of advanced tech and features.
