Mahindra will be launching an updated version of the Rodeo automatic scooter, which will be called the Rodeo RZ. The company had given the Duro an update some time back and will do something similar to the Rodeo. The launch is expected to happen later this month. The changes to the Rodeo are still not confirmed but one can expect improvements in quality, improved fuel economy and additional features on this scooter. Pricing is expected to remain more or less the same as the company continues to battle with strong competition from Honda and Suzuki in this segment.
The Mahindra Rodeo is powered by a 125cc, 4-stroke engine which produces 8 BHP of peak power output at 7000 RPM and 9 Nm of peak torque output at 5500 RPM. It is mated to a CVT automatic gearbox and has a top speed of 80 km/h. The Rodeo features telescopic forks at the front and a hydraulic rear suspension. With a petrol tank capacity of 4.5-liters, the Rodeo has a range of around 200 kms on a full tank. The Rodeo weighs 106 kgs and has a ground clearance of 115 mm.
